Guest Writers
One of my goals for 2007 was to allow more guest writers onto my blog. During Peeve Week, there were several user-contributed articles. These articles were well done and gave this blog a more balanced feel.
If you are interested in writing for this blog or would like more information, please read on.
Why You Should Write for this Blog
As far as incentives, I won’t be able to give much. I don’t make money from this site. The prizes I give out are paid for by me (either directly or indirectly). The only thing I can offer as of right now is a link back to your site and a chance for a new audience to read your stuff. You won’t be made famous by writing for this blog, but you might find that you have a lot of freedom to write about topics here.
This blog is my personal blog. You won’t find too much about me, however. I don’t like to write about day-to-day things regarding me. For a list of topics I do write about, please visit my topics page.
Below is a summary of why you should write for this blog:
- Because I offended you.
- You want to add onto one of my posts.
- You want to rebuke one of my posts.
- You’d like to add your own unique criticism and insight on a topic.
I am giving my readers a unique chance to communicate to me and my readers other than a comment. If you disagree wholeheartedly with one of my posts, I give you the freedom to write a counter-argument on the same level that my original post was displayed.
How Do I Write For This Blog?
If you are interested in writing, you may follow these simple steps:
- Register as a user.
- E-mail me your intention to write for this blog with your topic idea.
After those two steps, I will set you up as a contributor and you can login and write your post. Alternatively, you can e-mail your post and I will publish it for you (after you have registered and e-mailed me with your topic idea).
Post Guidelines
Listed below are some post guidelines:
- Please keep swearing out of the posts unless highly relevant.
- Please argue logically. No personal attacks.
- Please keep posts above 300 words.
Conclusion
Hopefully in the future there will be more user-contributed articles on this site. I do not promise this will happen, but it is something I would like to see happen.
